Bonding applications

Footwear assembly

Upper-to-sole bonding on leather, textile and synthetic components.

Film lamination

Flexible packaging and automotive textile lamination with heat activation.

Vacuum forming

PUD adhesives for PVC and ABS thermoforming applications.

Process

Typical assembly workflow

Open time, activation temperature and press conditions define bond quality.

Step 01

Apply adhesive

Spray, roller or dot application to one or both substrates.

Step 02

Dry tack

Water removed; adhesive reaches tack-ready state.

Step 03

Activate & mate

Heat activates PUD; parts positioned within open time.

Step 04

Press & cure

Pressure and cooling build final bond strength.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What activation temperature is typical?

Many YT-AD grades activate between 60–80 °C — exact temperature depends on grade, substrate and press time.

Can one adhesive bond multiple materials?

Some grades are multi-substrate; for critical footwear or auto specs we match a dedicated grade after substrate testing.

Is solvent-free application really production-ready?

Yes — our customers run waterborne adhesives at commercial line speeds with proper drying and activation stations.

Do you offer custom adhesive development?

We formulate for specific peel, heat and hydrolysis targets when standard YT-AD grades need adjustment.
